Playing Levels of Soccer

Recreational:
-Introduction to the sport
-Fees are usually less than $100
-Parent Led
-Balanced Teams
-Coed (Often Times)
-Generally Local (Not much travel)
-1 to 2 contacts per week (1 Practice and 1 Game)

Competitive/Travel
-Intermediate experience
-Fees are usually between $300 and $600
-Parent Led
-Tryouts, attempt to form highest skill team
-Gender Specific
-League play (MOSSL, BPYSL etc)
-Regional Travel (Amount depends on league)
-MOSSL is based in Columbus
-BPYSL draws teams from Cinci, Kentucky, Dayton and Indiana
-Tournaments  (Some local, usually one that requires hotel stay)
-3 to 4 contacts per week (2 or 3 Practices and a game(s))

Select/Travel
-Advanced experience
-Fees are usually between $1,200 and $2,500
-Professional/Licensed Coach Led
-Tryouts, attempt to form highest skill team
-League play (BPYSL, National Premier League etc)
-Tournaments  (Some local, usually one that requires hotel stay)
-Gender/Age Specific
-Moderate to Significant Travel (Amount depends on team/league)
-BPYSL draws teams from Cinci, Kentucky, Dayton and Indiana
-NPL draws teams from neighboring states (PA, NY, MI, IN etc)
-3 to 5 contacts per week (3 Practices and a game(s))
